Look Outside is a twisted Eldritch body horror RPG adventure where looking outside causes people to transform into crazed monsters.
In Look Outside something has appeared in the sky that’s plunged the world into madness. Nobody knows exactly what has appeared in the sky, because anyone who’s looked has gone insane, died or transformed into a monster (or a combination of the three). Even images of the phenomenon can cause this transformation. You are a survivor who’s holed up in an apartment block, avoiding temptation to look outside and struggling to survive as deformed monsters roam the building.
The current build of Look Outside features a good two hours of gameplay and really impresses with its world-building, interesting characters and grotesque monster designs. The RPG mechanics are also pretty deep with multiple characters to recruit, a wide variety of equipment to kit them out with, survival elements, side-quests and puzzles. It really immerses you in its strange world and does a great job of building up the backstories of the monsters you encounter. Highly recommended.
